GRE Essays

Although you’ll see this section first on test day, we’re covering it last for two reasons: We wanted to get your confidence up before tackling this portion of the test, the one that strikes fear into the hearts of even the most fearless test takers. After all, this section requires you to write not one but two essays under pretty severe time constraints. But we’re here to say, Fear not, friends. The Essay section is as beatable as any other section on the GRE.

The second reason we’re covering this section last is because many of the concepts you got under your belt in the Verbal section, and particularly in the Reading Comprehension chapter, will be very helpful here. Format and Timing

The GMAT exam consists of three main parts, the Analytical Writing Assessment, the Quantitative section, and the Verbal section.

You have three and a half hours in which to take the GMAT exam, but plan for a total time of approximately four hours.

Which one, GMAT or GRE?

Both, GMAT and GRE are used many business school to intake prospective students recently. And now, which one, GMAT or GRE, is useful for you?

GMAT, as people know, is Graduate management Admission Test as the way to select participant in business school. And GRE is Graduate Record Examination as a route to score applicants for business school.

  • GRE
    It is useful for you who want to continue your study in non-business graduate level degrees as Engineering to Philosophy, to Education or others. The GRE is less expensive than the GMAT ($140 vs. the $250). You can also take GRE in wherever supported place; need not to come the place of test center. Total Score: The GRE includes 3 sections and each section is given a score from 200 – 800, making a maximum total score of 2400. The Verbal Section of the GRE tests vocabulary knowledge out of context. The GRE is made up of Verbal, Quantitative and Writing Sections, including two essays, one on an issue and one on an argument. But the quantitative section of the GRE is largely acknowledged as less challenging than that part of the GMAT.
