Loyola Marymount University MBA Program



Loyola Marymount claims to provide the highest academic and ethical standards. Their AACSB-accredited 21-month MBA program is specially designed to answer the needs of outstanding executives in the new global business environment.

Offering classes in the late afternoon and evening for both full-time and part-time students—all day Friday and Saturday, every other week for the Executive MBA—, the programs are rooted in the Jesuit teaching philosophy, emphasizing the core values of academic excellence and care for the individual.

In this 4th Top Ranked Part-Time MBA program, students may benefit from a challenging atmosphere in small-sized classes taught by qualified faculty.

Teaching Method

In Loyola Marymount, students are subjected to several types of teaching methods. Those are Case Study (24 %), Distance Learning (5 %), Experiential Learning (15 %), Lecture (30 %), Simulations (6 %) and Team Project (20 %).

The Curriculum

Students will be required to complete the offered nine core courses consisting of three classes in their chosen area of emphasis plus one elective and the selected five electives further than their area of electives.

Jesuit Transfer

Students who move from the other cities in the U.S. to Los Angeles yet haven’t finished their MBA program in a university of the Jesuit Transfer Network have the chance to complete their study at the Loyola Marrymount—since Loyola Marrymount is one of the 22 partner universities joining the Jesuit Transfer Network. This also applies vice-versa. Students of Loyola Marrymount’s MBA Program can also finish their study in the other 21 universities should they are transferred to the other cities.

Career Services Office (CSO)

CSO plays a big role in the students’ career. It provides help in preparing resumes and cover letters. It also offers counselling as well as assistance in skills of salary negotiation and interview. CSO also becomes the connector between the students & alumni and the recruiting companies.

How to Apply

Those who are interested in the MBA program offered by Loyola Marrymount may apply in the upcoming Spring, Summer and Fall semesters.

They are required to own a bachelor’s degree from an accredited US institution or the equivalent of a US bachelor’s degree from a foreign institution. A GMAT score is compulsory for all applicants while TOEFL is necessary only for those attending high school outside the US or in other English-speaking countries.

Besides, they also need to submit their resume, transcripts, two letters of recommendation and an application fee of $50.
