Queen’s Entrepreneurs Competition 2010
Welcome to the official site of the Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition! For the past 21 years QEC has provided university students from across Canada and around the world an opportunity to turn their business dreams into reality. We give out $25,000 in cash awards! With that kind of money up for grabs we receive countless quality business plan submissions. The talent doesn’t go unnoticed; influential business leaders from across North America come together under one roof to participate as Judges and Speakers. At QEC, we promise that you will have one of the most exciting consecutive three days of your life.

The Competition
QEC 2010 will consist of an initial round ending in November followed by the final rounds taking place from the 21st to the 23rd of January, 2010.
Tentative Schedule
The initial round will be a selection process beginning in December which will select the top 16 business plans to move on to the next round. These 16 plans will be divided into two pools of 8 and present to panels of judges on January 22nd. The top 3 plans from each pool will be selected to move on to the final round on January 23rd where they will again present to a panel of judges who will then select a first, second and third place team.

Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded at QEC 2010:
- $15,000 will go to the top business plan
- $6,000 2nd place
- $2,000 3rd place
- Two $1,000 innovation prizes will also be given to the most innovative plans
