Sampoerna School of Business Undergraduate Scholarships 2010 in Management and Accounting

The Sampoerna School of Business is a newly established business school in Jakarta offering undergraduate programs in accounting, finance, management and marketing. Our programs have been developed using leading international academics and offer an innovative model for the internationalization of tertiary education in Indonesia.

We aim to make our School a dynamic centre for the education of future leaders through innovative experiential business education renowned for its challenging and rewarding learning experience.

Our graduates will be academically excellent, possess multidisciplinary knowledge and skills, and have a local and global outlook with a profound awareness of community needs and a high regard for equity and ethics.

II. Program Requirement

1. Academic Requirement
   Graduated from Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) and / or Madrasah with legalize academic report (grade 10 to 12) or Surat Tanda Kelulusan (STK) minimum average of 7.00.
2. Document Requirement
   • Completed & signed Application Packages
   • Certified copy of academic record (Buku Rapor) from grade 10 (ten) to grade 12 (twelve)
   • A copy of the last one month of home electricity bill (if the applicants own a house or live with parents) or a copy of house/room (indekos) rental payments
   • A certified copy of family card (Kartu Keluarga)
   • A copy of valid national ID card (KTP/Passport)
   • A copy of parent’s/ guardian’s national ID card (KTP/ Passport)
   • A copy of the last one month of parent’s salary slip.
   • 2 (two) References Letters consisted of:
   • One recommendation form from High School Head Master
   • One recommendation form from High School Teacher

IV. Duration of Award

The Financial Assistance is provided for a maximum of 4 (four) years as a standard duration for the completion of the study program. No extension will be allowed.

When you submit the application package, please write “SSB” at the top right hand corner of the envelope.

Sampoerna School of Business will consider completed applications only, and will notify the short-listed applicants to attend the continuing stages of the selection process.

When applicable, the supporting documents must be certified by university (for school transcripts), public notary or other relevant authorized parties / individuals as true copy of the original. Please do not send any original documents. Sampoerna School of Business will not be responsible for handling and returning original documents, but does reserve the right to request the provision of original documents if necessary.

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS

1. SSB STUDENT FINANCING

Access to quality education in universities remains to be the biggest need for every Indonesia student. Therefore, financing scheme and a comprehensive would be of the solution.

Being aware of this need, Siswa Bangsa Foundation provides Student Islamic Financing services, a loan financing education for all students in world-class schools under Putera Sampoerna Foundation, the Sampoerna School of Education (SSE) and the Sampoerna School of Business (SSB).

What are the benefits of Student Financing?

• The loan repayment to 15 years for the SSE and 18 years for the SSB, with a five-year grace period *
• Without Interest
• Without collateral
• No fees and no inflation
• Easy and reliable process
• Free training and self development
• Free consultation and career development after graduation
• Given to students and returned by the students concerned, so as not to burden the family finances.
• Available for all prospective students SSE and SSB throughout Indonesia without exception
• A five-year-grace period is regarded to a four-year- study program and one year period to seek for a job after graduation.

How to repay for the Student Financing?

• 1-4 years (study period) – Free of Payment
• 4-5 years (job searching period) – Free of Payment
• Year 5 to year 15 (SSE) or year 18 (SSB)-Perform monthly installments

What are Financing Student service provisions?

• The loan is given only to finance tuition (tuition fee), does not include the cost of living.
• The loan is available only to students at the Sampoerna School of Business (SSB) and the Sampoerna School of Education (SSE).
• The total provided loan is 300 million for SSB Students and 168 million for SSE students.
• All expenses are charged to and paid directly by Siswa Bangsa Foundation to the schools respectively, without going through the relevant students.
• The allowed study period is four years and no additional study time. Students are expected to complete their study in the agreed time.

What are the requirements to apply for Student Financing?

2. SCHOLARSHIP

Sampoerna Foundation (SF) scholarship program has been started since 2001 to improve the access to education. The objective of the scholarship program is to create competent leaders with good moral fiber through high quality education.

In order to achieve the vision, SF Scholarship Department recruits qualified individuals who have the capacity of being leaders and equips/ develops scholars’ capability that they will be able to become the competent leaders. Until 2009, SF has awarded more than 33,000 scholarships to students in good academic standing who demonstrated financial need at elementary through graduate school level.

SF only expects the best and the most appropriate scholars for its scholarship program. SF scholar is a mature and inspiring leader who possesses high integrity. He/ she can be conspicuously identified as a highly motivated individual who excels in whatever he/ she endeavors. Coming from a financially disadvantaged environment with regard to pursuing a higher education, he/ she commits for community and national development. He/she adapts well to his/ her environment and tolerant to differences in cultures and ideas. SF will conduct a rigorous selection process especially for the tertiary level, in order to identify the individuals who possess the potential to be a great leader.
