University of Edinburgh Business School MBA Programs



The School is located very close to the heart of the city, the most beautiful city in the world. It is about 15 minutes’ walk from Princes Street and Waverley Railway Station and only 10 minutes from the Royal Mile and the Old Town. There are regular bus services from Princes Street to the central University area. Edinburgh is very well served by transport links.

The MBA Programs

The full-time MBA
This program held for 12-month. Basis of knowledge across the eight areas: Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Organizational Studies, Marketing, Operations Management, and Ethics are needed indeed. You can also choose option for the day and evening study. It recruits between 80-100 students a year with 35 different nationalities. The cost has been set at £22,800. A non-refundable deposit of £1,000 is required, made payable to the University of Edinburgh to secure a place on the program.

MBA in International Business
The Edinburgh MBA in International Business provides a comprehensive preparation for a managerial career in international business with: A solid grounding in the major management disciplines and concepts, The opportunity to analyze and test techniques, A true understanding of what lies behind business jargon, The skills to integrate applications. The school recruits just 15-20 students a year onto the MBA in International Business. To extend the opportunities to study globally, ENPC has set up a network of sister organizations in India (New Delhi) and China (Shanghai) where the same approach and the same pool of international faculty is utilized. It is held for 25-month.

The Part-time MBA
It is held for 27-month. It has four programs; they are Program structure, Induction program, Career and personal development, MBA Program. The part-time program recruits 60-70 students a year onto the Part time MBA. The fee for it is set at £16,450. It also gives you option as Full-time MBA.

Modular MBA
This program is held 48-month. It is specifically designed for those students who: Are unable to study full-time for 12 consecutive months but who wish to benefit from a fulltime learning environment, wish to learn alongside and learn from a very international diverse and experienced group of students, are sponsored to undertake an MBA but cannot be away from the office for more than 3 months at a time.

MBA +
The school gives a chance for alumni; from Edinburgh it self or others, who want to study more in school business by MBA + as, part of the recent developments and improvements to the Edinburgh MBA. This program offers an opportunity to take additional courses from the selection offered as options on the MBA programs. Registering for a course with MBA+ is very straightforward and made each academic year. Forms should be submitted 3 weeks before a course is due to start. The cost for each MBA+ module is £655.

Admission
The participants are required to have:

  • TOEFL (paper based version) overall score of 600 or above (including scores of at least 55 in all sections and a score of 4.0 in the test of written English (TWE)
  • TOEFL (computer based version) overall score of 250 or above (including a score of at least 21 in the Listening and Reading sections and 22 in Structure/Writing)
  • TOEFL (Internet based version) overall score of 100 (including scores of at least 21 in all sections)
  • IELTS 7.0 minimum score (including at least 6.0 in all four sections).

The scholarship and loans
The school gives scholarship for you wherever you come from by its decision and by award. And apply to borrow the money you need to support your investment in your future success you must:

  • Be 18 or over
  • Be a permanent UK resident (i.e. 3 years minimum immediately prior to commencement of study)
  • Have a place on an Association of MBAs’ accredited MBA program
  • Have five years’ practical work experience within industry or commerce, or if you are a graduate, you must have two years’ work experience

Loans are subject to status. Security may be required.

Faculty
